  2. 2010 and 2011 NSRECs • 2010 had a delay in close-out, owing to family and health issues of Finance Chair. • Materials scheduled to be sent to Erin Lyman at IEEE on Jan. 24, 2012. Projected return is ~ $121k (26%) • So, final audit and close-out should be in progress. • 2011 has submitted all materials for close-out and audit, with a projected 20% return (~ $121k) • The 2011 NSREC Finance Chair, John Stone (SWRI), has been added to the RESG to provide a higher level of local financial support to RE conference committees.

  3. NSREC 2012 – Miami, FLInterContinental, Miami: July 16-20 Meetings and Registration Support: ETC Services

  4. 2012 NSREC Status • 188 Summaries submitted for review • Meld Meeting at NASA GSFC next week • Short Course Dry run following meld meeting • Social events finalized • Strong corporate and government support, and another “sold out” industrial exhibit • Finances on track – no major issues identified • Will repeat GOLD member breakfast • 20 attendees in Las Vegas • Again facilitated by Jonny Pellish, NASA GSFC

Upcoming NSRECs • 2013—Hyatt Embarcadero, San Francisco, July 8-12, Conference Chair, Jeff Black, Sandia National Labs • RE is offering a revised motion on 50th anniversary themed events • Special issue of the TNS, edited by Pascale Gouker, Veronique Ferlet-Cavrois, and Jonny Pellish: June 2013 • DVD for conference attendees of 49 years of Dec. TNS • Jeff Black (NSREC conference chair) has completed > 30 years of compilation – ahead of schedule, and very interesting! • 1974 discovered to be a “lost year” of TNS in Explore • 2014—Conference Chair, Robert Ecoffet, CNES • First NSREC outside North America (a year with no RADECS) • Marriott, Rive Gauche – final contract review (we hope) • Aggressive deposit schedule required by hotel (next chart) • France raising VAT rates • 2015—Conference Chair, Mike Xapsos, NASA GSFC • RESG will meet May 3-4 at Marriott, Copley Place, Boston

  6. Advance Deposits: Marriott Rive Gauche(in advance of usual schedule) Likely will require an “advance,” and larger than normal IEEE loan
