  3. VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE • Guidance is essential and long process throughout the students school years.It involves several strategies and different actors. Parents, teachers, counsellors, psychologists play an essential role to help students to find adequate guidance.

  4. VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE • At national level, information and guidance are supervised by the central administration of the Ministry of Education. • At Education Authority (regional) level, they are the task of the Rector, assisted by the Chief of the Education Authority Information and Guidance Service (CSAIO) and at Departmental level they are the task of the Education Authority Inspector assisted by a National Education Inspector for Information and Guidance (IEN-IIO).

  5. OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL • ONISEP is a famous organisation. Its role is to provide students with the adequate information about their future careers( website,fairs, seminars, meetings ) • CIOS In each school district, they are the task of the CIO (Information and Guidance Centre) staffed by guidance counsellors psychologists and managed by a CIO director.

INSIDE THE SCHOOL • In schools, first the role of teachers is to communicate with students and with counsellors.Success lies in interaction. • Secondly, in principals coordinate an annual programme of information and guidance and must ensure that all pupils have received appropriate guidance when leaving the school and notify pupils and their families of guidance decisions.

VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE • School Leavers after 16 – at present for each school leaver without any certification or diploma, there is a specific guidance service called the MGI (Mission Générale d’Insertion de l’Education Nationale). It offers a range of guidance measures to those youngsters and are run by the Regional Education Authorities (Rectorats).
