SHARING OUR FAITH WITH OTHERS “Therefore, those who had been scattered went about preaching the word” (Acts 8:4).
Every One Has Needs • The church had needs. • The government has needs. • Each of us has needs; physical, emotional, also spiritual. • Every one you know, and don’t know, needs to know of the Savior.
Why Should We Share? • Gratitude – Rom. 1:14; I Tim. 1:13 • Pity – Rom. 9:2; 10:1; Jude 23 • Security – I Cor. 6:9-11 • Joy – Phil. 4:1; I Cor. 4:15 • It’s a command – Jude 3; 2 Tim. 2:2
What Happens When We Don’t? • Loss of Zeal in other areas – 2 Tim. 3:13 • Infighting – Luke 19:10; Gal. 5:15 • We end up believing nothing because we won’t “fight” for it. • Spiritual death – for the church and us – Rev. 3:1-6
Risks vs. Benefits • Spiritual babies or no one. • Struggles with moral issues or no trouble at all. • Confusion about doctrine. “What’s all this teaching about baptism?” • Criticism from brethren who are jealous.
