  1. Welcome to Miss Todd’s Class! 4th Grade

  2. Contact Information: • School Phone: 351-3214 (ext. 2403) • Home Phone: 260-336-9971 (Please use this phone number for emergencies only since it is a cell phone). • Email: etodd@ph.k12.in.us (I check my email before school, during my lunch time, and after school. I will reply as promptly as possible. • Use “Remind” (if you’ve already subscribed). • If you would ever need to speak with me to discuss an issue concerning your child, or simply to hear affirmation that he/she is doing well, please call the school to schedule an appointment.

  3. “Remind” Information: • “Remind” is one more way for communication to occur between home and school. • I can easily send out a text message to all parents at once. • My text message can be received using the Remind app (push notification), through email, or via text message. • Your phone number will remain confidential. • See the home page of our class website for instructions regarding how you can subscribe. • Please let me know later if you have any difficulty signing up.

  4. Classroom Information: • Homework – Spelling, Math, Reading (Please see my web-site/first newsletter for more detailed information). • Planners – Planners are used to continue developing organizational skills. Also, planners serve as a good communication tool between home and school. Our “planner board manager” will write down all assignments that should be listed in student planners. • Parent Helpers – Parent helpers are welcomed and appreciated! Please watch Friday Folders for more information and to sign up to help with a specific area. Please be sure to check in at the booth.

  5. Classroom Information: • Snacks - Please send a healthy snack to school with your child each day. Please be aware that we have a student with SEVERE allergies in our classroom. (Refer to the letter that’s been distributed to your child’s desk). • Water Bottles – Water bottles will be sent home each afternoon to be washed. Make sure the bottles are clear. (This is a school-wide policy). • Birthday Celebrations – Please try to let me know at least 24 hours in advance if you’d like to send a treat for your child’s birthday. Store-bought treats are encouraged.

  6. Classroom Information: • Class Jobs – Classroom jobs allow students to have an active role in maintaining the classroom and feel an ownership. Students’ jobs will rotate every four weeks. • Classroom procedures will be determined by the students during the first few days of school. You will be notified of what procedures were decided upon. • Newsletters – Class newsletters are sent every Friday. If you have children in lower grade levels, you will only receive one school-wide newsletter, which your fourth grader will bring home. Friday newsletters will also be posted on my website.

  7. Classroom Information: • Parent/Teacher Conference Sign-Up - If you sign up for conferences now, you will still receive a reminder of your conference time as it gets closer. The sooner you sign up, the better your chances of getting a preferred time (first come, first served). You can find more information about parent/teacher conference sign-up on the school’s website. • Bus or Transportation Questions – If you have any bus and/or transportation questions, please see Mrs. Hullinger before leaving tonight. • Please let the office know if you need further assistance navigating our school’s website.
