New way of thinking A complete system, where • we get close to the education and its results • on more levels: quantitatively qualitatively • focus i.e.. is on evaluation / documentation • A complete picture of the school - a service – which further more should lead to quality development
Definition of supervision Aims of supervision: • to collect and evaluate data with the purpose of controlling that the school complies with the folkeskole law and municipal aims. • to guarantee that school has internal quality systems (=auditing) The supervision must focus on: • the internal quality system of the school • framework • processes • results • In addition to this you might include focus on a theme chosen by the school.
Definition of quality protection Aim of quality protection: • To guarantee that teaching and other pedagogic activities take place in a satisfactory way and shows satisfactory results In quality protection following elements must be included: • descriptions of processes and results from the team • team dialogs between the team and the leadership • evaluation note from the leadership (worked out on basis of the team dialogues) with assessment of quality and results in the teaching • statement to the evaluation note from the board of governors.
