  2. Who is a stranger? • Someone you do not know. • Someone you do know that makes you feel uncomfortable

  3. What is the Danger? • Being abducted/kidnapped • Being given illegal drugs • Asked to do illegal activities

  4. Strangers You Don’t Know • Say that they need your help • To find a puppy • Help with bags • Etc. • Offer you candy or toys • Offer you a ride in their car

  5. “Strangers” You Do Know • They make you feel uncomfortable • They say inappropriate things • “Bad Touch”

  6. What To Do To Protect Yourself? • Tell an adult • Tell Police • Make LOTS OF NOISE!!!!!

  7. MAKE NOISE!!!!!!!! • Draw as much attention to you as possible • Scream and Kick • The attention you draw may save your life and scare the “Stranger” away or allow others to see the “Stranger”

  8. Protect Yourself • Make a plan with parents for pickup • Tell an adult where you are going • If plans change call them!!!!! • Be in a group • Password

  9. The Secret Password • Password: a word or phase that you and your parent know and if someone other than your parent comes to pick you up they need to let you know the password before you get in a vehicle with them

  10. The Sad Truth • In 2002 over 2,000 kids, under 18years of age, reported missing each day! • Hundreds of kids are never recovered
