  4. What processes are you & your district chasing? • Sticky note brainstorm session… what are we chasing as schools trying to improve? • Take 1 minute as individuals to list as many items as you can 1 per sticky note. • As a table, share then sort your items into categories.

For Your Information… OIP = Ohio Improvement Process DLT = District Leadership Team BLT = Building Leadership Team MLT = Math Leadership Team ALT = Assessment Leadership Team IF = Internal Facilitators PD= Professional Development HSTW = High Schools That Work MMGW = Making Middle Grades Work MSW = Making Schools Work SST1 = State Support Team 1 SREB = Southern Regional Educational Board TBT’s = Teacher Based Teams Grade Level Teams Data Teams Department Teams 2 hour delay’s and Waiver days are times specifically set and planned to move our District Plan forward by providing professional development to our teaching team. Often this training happens with our own staff sharing what they have learned and / or best practices they are having success with in their classrooms.

  10. Quick Write Reflection For the next 2 minutes reflect on how your focus has changed since RttT has entered into your district. What was your focus before? What are your priorities now? What do you feel? Worry about? What is exciting? Refeshing? What do you need? How will you maintain your focus?

  11. Communication is the Key How do you communicate to your stakeholders now? Share with an elbow partner what communication tools your district currently uses. What are the strengths of these tools? What shortcomings do they have? What new information must now be communicated? What are the concerns about this information? What message – or image do you want / need to convey?
