  3. The Objective To build a differentiated, project based, technology integrated, student centered learning environment for the 21st Century
  4. What You Need
  5. A Techie Teacher You have to have a Teacher Who Can Build an In Depth Online Presence This teacher should be able to work with wikis, websites, and a multitude of other tech tools
  6. A Set of Student Ipads Why would tablets be the first choice of device? Allows for freedom of movement It also provides both audio and video recording that works well with Mac counterparts (Imovie and Garageband)
  7. One or Two Apple Computers These computers would allow better editing options on projects such as movies, audio, presentations, and websites
  8. A Viable Room or a Limit on Students This lab takes space for collaboration and movement This means it needs to be in a room that is larger if there are 35 students or the number of students need to be limited A business lab would be ideal
  9. Initial Set Up Needed

  10. What You Have to Set Up Website- You need an interactive website where you can post a variety of assignments that students can pick from. (Weebly is a Great Place to Start)
  11. Wikis Wiki Checklist for Students- You need to set up individualized checklist of assignments that students need to complete in the unit
  12. The Class

  13. Start Up Students complete a Bell Ringer Question that is an Essential Question From the Previous Notes Students Sign Out Their Ipad Students Pick The Station they Will Work at For the Day Basedfromthe Assignments on their wiki checklist
  14. Station 1: Teacher Led This station could include: Lecture Video Clips Help on existing projects
  15. Station 2: Discussion Students answer a discussion question based on the units curriculum This question is answered in a group and can be transcribed on paper or posted on an online service such as edmodo
  16. Station 3: Individual Assignments Students can choose to spend time with the online content/notes or they can complete individual assignments which can include things like historical pictures, essays, and vocabulary
  17. Station 4: Pair Stations This station is for collaborative projects that have lower levels of critical thinking. This include plotting points on a class Google map and doing digital webquest such as storytelling and radio broadcasting
  18. Station 5: Group Stations This station is where students complete complex video projects such as movies, audio, websites, and others
  19. Finish With 20 mins left, Students take a student response quiz on the notes that they were supposed to study for hw Students then complete an open ended Exit Ticket question that is one of the lessons essential questions
  20. How Students Learn Content They can choose to take a flipped classroom approach with notes, or they can take a more traditional approach in class with the teacher Students also learn from project based learning assignments that can be found on the class website
