  3. Flee These Things: • “FLEE” from “pheugo” – to run away(lit.or fig.);by implication, to shun. • The Love of Money • Drowning • Trapping • Taking Root

  4. Flee These Things: • Flee Youthful Lusts • 2 Timothy 2:22 • Youth tempted to TRY them • Man of God Runs From them • Idolatry • 1 Corinthians 10:14 • Colossians 3:5

  5. Pursue / Follow • “Follow” “dioko” – to pursue (lit. or fig.). Romans 14:19 • Righteousness – dikaiosune – “equity (of character or act); specially… justification” • Matthew 22:37-40

  6. Pursue / Follow • Godliness eusebeia – “piety toward God; specially, the gospel theme.” • “God Toward Ness” • Faith –the ROOT or BASIS for everything else • Love–Motive/ Power of Faith • Galatians 5:6

  7. Pursue / Follow • Gentleness - Meekness • Priaiotes – “gentleness, by implication, humility.” • “…first of all a meekness before God, also such in the face of men, even of evil men,…” • “…equanimity of spirit.. Neither elated nor cast down, it is not occupied with self at all.”
