Sonja started her career as a Branch Manager for U.S. Bank, Bend, Oregon. After working with the US Bank for about six years, Sonja L Haaby spent some time being a stay at home mom. Soon when she decided to get back to working full-time, she followed her passion in accounting instead of resuming what she was doing earlier. She began her career in public accounting in 2007 with a local CPA firm. Thanks to her strong academic background, experience in the field of banking and finance, and strong problem solving skills, she was able to effectively assist personal and business clients with all their financial tax planning needs.

Sonja L Haaby Had a Successful Career in Banking & Finance Before She Decided To Follow Her Passion in Accounting A graduate of Linfield College with her Bachelor's in Accounting and Certificate in Human Resource Management, Sonja L Haaby is an IRS Enrolled Agent and Licensed Tax Consultant. In 2018, she opened her firm, Haaby & Associates, LLC, where she services her clients’ financial needs from Tax Accounting to Bookkeeping and more. Sonja started her career as a Branch Manager for U.S. Bank, Bend, Oregon where she was responsible for maintaining and ensuring that branch operations were in compliance with regulations, policies and procedures. She made sure that customer service and sales standards were being met, and was also responsible for Human Resource Management, which included scheduling and supervising personnel. Apart from that, she audited and reconciled various areas of operations, like Cashier’s checks, general ledger accounts, money orders, traveler’s checks, and proof of teller work. After working with the US Bank for about six years, Sonja L Haaby spent some time being a stay at home mom. During this period, she got
the chance to stay home with her children, volunteering at their school, joining the PTA, and various non-profit boards.
