CSTL and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning: A Timeline • 1984: Board of Regents authorized development of a CTL • 1990: Goals & mission statement approved for the Center • 1994: The “S” is added to the title • 1998: First CASTL Campus Program developed; Southeast participates in Organizing to Foster the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. • CSTL Teacher-Scholar Model work begins • 2000: Teacher-Scholar Model becomes part of institutional ethos, Scholarship of Teaching and Learning emphasized • 2005: FFR SoTL Demonstration Grant awarded • 2006: Southeast competitively selected as a CASTL Leadership Institution dedicated to Building SoTL Communities • 2007-present: SoTL Core Continuing Grant and beyond
