How we help • Seaside breaks for the Armed Forces community, including adventure breaks for Service children • Handy Van repairs • Carry out 20,000 small home repairs for 7,300 beneficiaries to assist independent living • Care Homes • Six residential care homes for the elderly - 2 Care Homes with specialist Dementia Units • Admiral Nurse Service • To support carers

How we help • Benefits and Money Advice • Independent Living Advice • Outreach Support Services • Welfare support via case officers • Eligibility – 7 days military pay, support for you and spouse/partner for life • Independent Inquest Advice • Armed Forces Compensation and Pension Advice - Free and independent

How we help • Employability: • Online support and information through Civvy Street (www.civvystreet.org.uk) - The Legion’s employment advice service, Civvy Street provided online support and information to over 70,000 people • Employment Grants • For tools, vocational qualifications/licences • 589 people have received Employment Grants totalling £748,990 through the Civvy Street programme

Changing the way we work • Our beneficiaries are at the heart of the Legion, so we’re improving the way we support them • There will be three main ways to get in touch with us: • Face to Face –‘walk-in’ Advice & Information centres • Phone – Dedicated advisers will respond to all calls 0808 802 8080 7 days a week from 0800-2000hrs • Online – Free online help through the Knowledge Base - enabling people to get access to information and advice easily and quickly

  9. Grants Given To Individuals in the SE Mids Area During 2013/14, the South East Midlands team were assigned 1908 incidents from the Contact Centre, resolving 1696 of them
