  2. What is Personal Learning Styles? • A personal learning style is the way an individual learns and absorbs information. • To maximize learning, it is important to know your learning style.

  3. Types of Learning • There are seven types of learning styles: • Linguistic Learner • Mathematical/Logical Learner • Visual/Spatial Learner • Auditory/Musical Learner • Kinesthetic/Body Learner • Interpersonal Learner • Intrapersonal Learner

  4. Visual • These are people who like to see concepts in order to understand them. • Prefer to sit in the front of the class so that their view will not be obstructed. • Often take detailed notes and use highlighters to bring attention to information.

  5. Auditory Learner • One who memorizes things in order. • “What letter comes after R, do you need to start from A and recite the entire alphabet? • Learn best by listening • Put information to music • Create songs or rhymes to remember information.

  6. Kinesthetic Learner • Learn best by doing, touching, or experiencing through sense of touch. • Enjoys hands-on activities, such as experiments, role-playing and interactive projects. • Tend to struggle with classes that require a lot of reading.
