Building Progress: From Subfloor to Bricklaying the House Shell

Once the subfloor is ready, bricklayers can begin constructing the main shell of the house. Essential tasks include laying the facing brick, positioning quoin stones, and ensuring the damp proof course (DPC) is in place. Preparations for internal walls involve wall ties and block readiness. Scaffolding is set up for the next phase of work, with toe plates and bracing to be added. Additional details include mixing mortar, setting internal walls, constructing a chimney breast, and building window frames, all while maintaining pride in craftsmanship.
