  • Be careful when you select reply.
  • Write an appropriate subject line. Don’t reply to the same subject if your email has a new content.
  • Think about tone and politeness.
  • Give sufficient details, but don’t write unnecessary information. Your teacher does not remember everybody’s name in the class.
  • Don’t forget attachments, if any.

  • Requests should be softened by using modal verbs.
  • Take note of power differentials.
