Mrs. Bilgrami has worked in the Mangophir and Nusrat Bhutto Communities for over 19 years now. She is generally known as “Maan Jee” (meaning ‘mother’) amongst the residents due to her devotion to the well being of residents and their children. Maan Jee School has been named after her to honor her contribution to these communities. Monthly News Letter - December 2012 Shield presented to Mr. Umar Deen Maanjee School always recognize the support and patronage extended by the people who work selflessly for the cause and the mission of Maanjee initiative. Mr. Umar Deen is also one such gentle soul who had always been supporting the activities and mission of Maanjee school. To recognize his services, an event was organized which was followed by a dinner. During this event, Mr. Umar Deen was presented a memento on behalf of Mrs. Shamim Bilgrami, the Founder of the Maanjee School. He was also made honorary member of the Managing Committee. He was also presented a bouquet by the children. Mr. Umar Deen also assured of his continued support for this school and for the children of this area. Visit of distinguished Guests On 17th December, 2012, Mr. Pervez Saeed along with his wife visited the school and met staff and students in various classes. They mingled with them and made photographs. They was very appreciative of the fact that despite difficult conditions, teachers and staff of the school are discharging their responsibilities with a high level of determination and are following their mission. They discussed various matters related to facilities and assured his complete cooperation for the resolution of issues. While writing his comments in the Visitor’s Book, They appreciated the effort of all who are involved in running the affairs of the school and re-affirmed his commitment for cooperation. Card Day (New Year) Like every year, a ‘Card Day’ was celebrated in the School on 14 December, 2012. Students took active part in Card Making under the able guidance of their teachers. It was planned that these cards would be sent to Mrs. Shamim Bilgarami, respectable donors and the members of the Parents Committee. Page 1 of 3

Monthly News Letter - December 2012 Quiz Program A ‘Quiz Program’ was organized on 25th December, 2012, the Birth Anniversary of Quaid-e-Aazam, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the Founder of Pakistan. secondary classes participated in this competition. Ms. Farida Yousuf conducted the program and covered the life, education, and his political career through the questions. The winner of this competition was Team A, and the following students were given away the prizes; 1) Reema Ahmed Class VIII 2) Rubab Class VII 3) Sana Class VI • Drawing Competition • A ‘Drawing Competition’ was organized on 17 December, 2012. All classes participated in this competition. Ms. Farah Naz conducted the program, the following students were given away the prizes ; • Ist Gufran Mustafa of Class III • 2nd Zarmeen of Class II • 3rd Sajid Hanif of Class V END Page 2 of 3

  4. Monthly News Letter - December 2012 Sports Day A ‘Sports Day’ was held on 19 & 20th December, 2012 for girls and boys respectively. Mr. Javed Akhtar, CEO of MOVE Foundation distributed prizes among the winners. Color Day A ‘Color Day’ was organized for the Prep Classes on 21st December, 2012. Vegetables and Fruits were made with the help of colors using Red, Yellow and Green. Internal Review Meeting An Internal Review Meeting (IRM) was held on 21th December, 2012. Matters related to various academic and management issues were discussed with Mr. Javed Akhtar (CEO MOVE Foundation).
