Paul Klee was a very talented artist and musician. His dad taught him how to play the violin when he was 8! • Klee is what we would call an abstract artist. Abstract art is art that does not show objects in the real world, but instead uses color, shape and lines in a non-representational way. It is not supposed to look like anything! But it’s OK if you see something in the painting.
First we will paint our paper using sponges! • Then we will draw on our papers using a black piece of charcoal. • Charcoal is made from burning stick of wood. • We will use Paul Klee’s “The Twittering Machine” to inspire our own artwork. We want to re-create our own version of the painting.
