  1. Primorskosvetovalnosredišče, Koper • Primorskosvetovalnosredišče, Koper (PRIMSS)/Counseling Centre of Primorska, Koper: established in December 2007. • From April 2006 to December 2007: independent working group in terms of programs and realization within the Student organization of University of Primorska. • The programs werefirstdeveloped according to needs of young people between the age of 14 and 29; but it soon appeared that our educational, counseling and awareness-raising programs are attractive for other groups as well. • Today our vocational trainings, seminars, courses, lectures, workshops, round tables, debate groups, self-help groups, counseling and therapeutic assistance as well as information and/or prevention-oriented activities are attended by very diverse groups of people in terms of age, gender, education or social status. • At our work we strive to cover the areas of knowledge that directly or indirectly help building the quality of life: assistance in resolving personal distress, psychotherapeutic aid and eating disorders support groups, programs focused on interpersonal and public communication, social economy, environment protection, lifelong and informal learning. • To achieve maximum expertise we also cooperate with various other NGOs and public institutions in order to improve the scope of our offer.

Social Economy Research Centre Based on the situation in the World today and current trends with sometimes mistaken concepts about Social Economy issues the PRIMSS Institute decided to establish within its legal frameworkits Social Economy Research Centre. Main aims of Social Economy Research Centre are: • to promote Social Economy; • to research thesituation on Social Economy issues in Europe and worldwide; • to establish online database with gathered and regularly updated knowledge and data on issues such as decent work, fair trade, cooperatives, social protection etc.; • to develop online self-guided learning tools on workers self-protection; • to develop online self-guided education tools for workers representatives to maximize their efficiency at their work defending workers rights; • other. PRIMSS ensures different expertise on functioning of such organizations, as well as trainings for all that are considering this type of employment. We prepare workshops, round tables and debates on this topic.

Local Workshop • Date: May 9th 2011 • Location: Koper, Slovenia • Content: sustainable development, social economy, social inclusion • Working Title:“Implementing sustainable development and social economy through NGOs: reality and possibilities” • Program: The topic will be sustainable development and areas it covers: social economy, mutuality, solidarity, fair trade, best practices etc. Aims: raising awareness on grass-root level on the topics regarding sustainable development and giving basic knowledge on the topic to future activists. At least 27 participants (at least 7 international participants) • Our main target group: young people, especially university and high school students, and other interested participant; we believe young people in general are the ones spreading new ideas on lifestyle changes toward sustainable development and social inclusion • Relevant organizations and Institutions involved: Primorsko svetovalno središče, Koper, University of Primorska (UP), Student organization of the University of Primorska (SOUP), Karierni center UP (KCUP) •  Media coverage: Local and regional media: press releases will be sent to TVs, radios, newspapers, student newspaper “KAŽIN”, followed by availability for media to answer possible questions aiming at raising awareness on the topic and Europe for Citizens programme
