  4. 1 52 Training Activities Training has been an important part of our activities since 2005. • More than 39 training sessions have been conducted in different countries in the region since 2005. • Since 2006, training has also focused on awareness on IPv6. • 15 training session is planned for 2009. • Currently working on improving training tools (online training, Virtual Labs, training material, etc.) • Our goal is to conduct training in the entire Continent by Dec 2010

Cooperation & Project • Continue to support other sister Organisations • AfTLD: Continue Administrative and Financial support. • AfNOG: Continue Financial support of AfNOG meetings. • AAU/AfREN: Planning several LIR/IPv6 session for RENs around the continent. Provide support to academic sector to get IP resources they need. • AfriNIC Launched a Root Server copy project in Africa with the support of ISOC and few root Operators. First Training Session with IXPs took place the end of 2008. • Setup of a Virtual IPv6 Lab in Mauritius

AfriNIC-9 (Mauritius) outcome • Successful AfriNIC-9 meeting in Mauritius despite the last minute change: • We had 95 Participants between the training workshop and the meeting sessions. • NRO-NC (ASO-AC) Elections: • Vincent Ngundi, Paulos Nyirenda, Hytham El Nakhal • Election of PDP-MG Members • Elections of ASO-AC member: Jean Robert Hountomey reelected for 3 years term.
