  2. Types of Funding • Grants • State (minimal) and Federal • Fee for service • Local tax levy - Annual budgeting completed through the local process

  3. Grants • Grant requirements change and that requires redirecting of programs. • Must be flexible with expectations of the program. • Childhood Lead • Immunization • Maternal Child Health • Prevention • Radon

  4. Fee for Services • Charge individual or business • Environmental Health program is entirely fee based • Billing Medicare or Medicaid • Working on billing for private insurances with changes in programs (ex: Immunization)

  5. Local Tax Levy • Different types of restrictions • Ex: cannot use for Environmental Health • Rigorous audit
