1967 – Arid Lands Ecology Reserve becomes reserve, PNL takes over management.

1969 – Only NW organization chosen by NASA to analyze lunar material

1980 – Mt. St. Helens erupts, PNL gathers samples to determine environmental and health impacts

1998 – PNNL awarded seven R&D 100 Awards
