  2. 1- Forming • Development action • Get to know and assess one another • Examine the purpose and unction of team • Look at skills ,knowledge, cohesiveness and balance already present • Indentify the blocks, frustration and culture • Possible pitfalls • Mistake of jumping to conclusion too quickly and imposing instant changes • Rigidity in making adjustments • Negative responses not tackled

  3. 2- Storming : characterized by individual assertive behavior. Participants have begun to feel comfortable enough and take some risk in revealing more of their personalities Development action Debate risky issues Consider wider options Encourage openness and feedback Handle conflict positively Possible pitfalls It takes time to build trust This stage can not be rushed Some teams are unable to move out of this stage without external help

  4. 3- Norming: growth of affection and personal relationships. Participants will take initiative in resolving conflicts Development actions • Maintain openness • Regular team reviews • Encourage challenges to establishes way of doing things • Celebrate success • Focus on individual as well as team development • Possible pitfalls • Established methods become an end in themselves • Teams forgets to look outwards

  5. 4- Performing: decision making and problem solving will be shared within the team, participants look outwards to see how other people in the team are doing to make sure all are supported • Shared values • High flexibility • Commitment to team goals • Problem solving approach • Conflicting views are handled positively and constructively

  6. 5- Transference : transferring the experiences 6-Nurturing: Reward, motivation, maintenance of climate
