Introduction • The new STEP 7 V5.3 has been released in February 2004, replacing STEP 7 V5.2 that has been shipped since 12.2002. • In STEP 7 V5.3 we have implemented new functions such as • New License Concept • Integrated Ethernet Interface of CPU 317-2 PN/DP • Ethernet PG-driver in STEP 7 integrated • => S7-Communication via the Integrated Ethernet Interface of the CPU 317-2 PN/DP without additional CP • Integration of the H-Optionspackage • GSD-Rev. 5 (DP-Slave configurable as Subscriber) • New „Files on MMC“ Folder • Make function also for connections • Extension of the command interface (Export of program structure) • Link to FAQs in the Internet from HW Config und NetPro • FW Update via PG interface with new CPUs
