  2. How Did We Make the World’s Most Accurate and Consistent Periodontal Probe Even ? Better

  3. First, we reviewed our Core HandpieceConcept: Periodontal Probing must be Accurate & Consistent in order to be valuable.

  4. The Dolphin has an implant-grade titanium tip providing 15 gm of constant-force pressure and 0.2 mm precision.

  5. We decided that the most important improvement we could make would be to create a probe that is always new for each new patient exam.

  6. The Dolphin is Single-Use and Disposable Patients watch you unwrap and use each new probe, which reassures them that they are getting the best care possible.

  7. We then focused on improving our Sleeve and Tip design by creating a new, more flexible plastic sleeve.

  8. The Dolphin’s neon yellow sleeve is easier to see in both light and dark environments. By updating the sleeve to plastic, we were able to make it more flexible and friction-free for hard-to-reach interproximal sites.

  9. We also tackled how to enhance maneuverability within the mouth by making the handle shorter, wider and lighter.

  10. Easily override the Dolphin’s constant-force by pressing the white fulcrum (great for navigating around a calculus margin or angular defect).Improved ergonomic handle - less weight, better grip.Index finger rest/scoop results in less hand fatigue. Significant advantages of this new design:
