  2. Course Description: This course guides the learner on a journey to better understand people so that you can minister more powerfully in their lives.

  3. Learner Objectives: • To learn the principles of human growth and development. • To become more sensitive to and aware of the importance of human observation as an essential component of understanding people. • To better understand what people are like at all ages and stages of the life span. • To enhance our relationships by improving our human relations skills.

  4. Course Text: • Understanding People – A Ministry to All Stages of Life, Cheryl Fawcett, Ph.D. Evangelical Training association, 2001 Edition, and ISBN: 0-910566-99-2.

  5. Course Relevance: • We are in the people business. • Our success as leaders depends on our ability to relate effectively with people. • Positive human relation skills can be learned through training and practice. • Positive human relation skills have personal and social rewards.

  6. Course Foundation – We Serve A God of Understanding: Proverbs 3:19, The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath e established the heavens.

  7. Thought – Provoking Scriptural References: • Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. • Proverbs 2:2 so that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding. • Proverb 2:6 for the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. • Proverb 2:11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee. • Proverbs 49:3 My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditations of my heart shall be of understanding. • Hence, God wants us to be a people in pursuit of understanding!
