Universal Change The knot of Eve’s disobedience was loosed by the obedience of Mary. (Irenaeus 202 AD) As Eve believed the serpent, so Mary believed the angel .(Tertullian 160 AD) • Eve’s disobedience has eternal consequences for the human race. • Sin and death • Mary’s obedience has eternal • Consequences for the human race • - Grace and salvation
Universal Maternity Adam names his wife Eve, because she is the “mother of all living. When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold you son!” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.
Enmity Between Eve and the serpent In Genesis: The Devil tricks Eve and brings about original sin Between Mary and the serpent In Revelation: The serpent seeks to harm Mary and destroy her Son And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to bear a child, that he might devour her child when she brought it forth; she brought forth a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron,
Immaculate Conception Mary was conceived without original sin

BIBLE BANG Revelation 11:19 – Rev 12:1 Its says that the Ark is seen in the sky and then it describes Mary. Mary is the new Ark of the Covenant

Mary was a virgin before and after Jesus’ birth Lateran Council in 649, Pope Martin I
BIBLE BANG Isaiah 10:14 “Therefore the Lord himself will give you this sign: The virgin shall be with child, and bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel.” (isaiah 10:14) BIBLE BANG Luke 1:31-37
“Until” BIBLE BANG 2 Samuel 6:23 And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to (until) the day of her death. (Does this mean she had children after she died?) Matthew 28:20 I am with you always until the end of time.
“Firstborn” BIBLE BANG Exodus 13:1-2 Exodus 13:1-2 reveals something very important about the firstborn in Israel: "The Lord said to Moses, ‘Consecrate to me all the firstborn; whatever is the first to open the womb among the people of Israel, both of man and beast, is mine.’
“Brother” BIBLE BANG John 2:1 In the Gospels our Blessed Mother is always referred to as Jesus’ mother, not the mother of any other man or woman. And Jesus is called the son of Mary, not a son of Mary. Isn't this the carpenter? Isn't this Mary's son and the brother of James, Joseph? Mark 6:3 “There were also many women there, looking on from afar, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to him; among who were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, as well as Mary the Mother of Jesus.
“Brother” The word brother ““brethren” also meant close relatives (Genesis 13:8, Genesis 14:12) Here the word brother is being used to describe the relationship between Abraham and Lot, who were not biological brothers but uncle and nephew: “So Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herdsmen and mine, for we are brothers” (Gen 13:8). They also carried off Abram's nephew Lot and his possessions, since he was living in Sodom. (Gen 14:12)
No Son but Jesus BIBLE BANG John 19:26 Jesus dies on the cross: When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple he loved (John) he said to her “woman behold Your son and turning to his disciple said son behold your mother.”
If they [the brethren of the Lord] had been Mary's sons, she would never have been given over in the moment of the passion [crucifixion] to the apostle John as his mother, the Lord saying to each, "Woman, behold your son," and to John, "Behold your mother" [John 19:26-27], as he bequeathed filial love to a disciple as a consolation to the one desolate (Commentary on Matthew 1:4 [Hilary of Poitiers A.D. 354]). Let those, therefore, who deny that the Son is by nature from the Father and proper to his essence deny also that He took true human flesh from the ever-virgin Mary (Discourses against the Arians 2:70 Athanasius [A.D. 360] In being born of a virgin who chose to remain a virgin even before she knew who was to be born other, Christ wanted to approve virginity rather than to impose it. And he wanted virginity to be of free choice even in that woman in whom he took upon himself the form of a slave (Holy Virginity 4:4 [AugustineA.D. 401]).
I firmly believe that Mary, according to the words of the gospel as a pure Virgin brought forth for us the Son of God and in childbirth and after childbirth forever remained a pure, intact Virgin. John Calvin It is an article of faith that Mary is Mother of the Lord and still a virgin. Martin Luther I believe... he [Jesus Christ] was born of the blessed Virgin, who, as well after as she brought him forth, continued a pure and unspotted virgin. John Wesley (Methodists)
