  7. IFJ Stance on early commit • Indiana Fire Juniors: Indiana Soccer's Early Club Commitment Provision Announcement • Many of our IFJ families received a communication from Indiana Soccer’s Executive Director Dave Guthrie today, regarding Indiana Soccer’s announcement of the Early Club Commitment Provision.  This trial provision to current registration rules would allow an Indiana Soccer member club to commit a returning player to the club prior to the tryout process for a specified fee. • Indiana Fire Juniors will not be implementing this provision. • This last-minute policy change by the Indiana Soccer Association only addresses the club commitment, not the team placement within the club.   At Indiana Fire Juniors our professional staff strives to make sure players know their standpoint within our club throughout the season and places each player on an appropriate team for the following season.  • The club’s non-participation by no means suggests that the club doesn’t value our players or wish for them to not return. IFJ simply feels that our tryout process gives both our players and our staff the best possible scenario to correctly place each player on the team most suited for their developmental level. We encourage all IFJ families to register for tryouts at https://www.gotsport.com/asp/application/reg/?ProgramID=80443. • If you wish to further discuss the newly announced provision or the IFJ tryout process, the club will be holding a Town Hall meeting on Monday, May 13th in the Grand Park Event Center Cafeteria starting at 6:30 pm.  We encourage all IFJ families to attend.
