You can run, walk, skip…… Why? The event is a true celebration of our community as it coincides with the first day of GiveRichmond’s 3rd Annual Amazing Raise, a 36-hour online giving challenge that has raised more than $1.8 million for local charities over the past two years. The race creates an opportunity for both individuals and teams to not only run for fun and personal wellness, but also campaign for their favorite nonprofit organizations and encourage philanthropy among their peers. This is a great way to show your support for Virginia Mentoring Partnership! **Registration fee does not go towards an Amazing Raise gift!

  7. Meet & Greet • Ideally will be BOD driven, inviting current donors and prospective donors to an event that feature and mentor mentee match. The match would speak; also, BOD members would be able to tell why they are involved and why they think VMP is a vital part of our community.

  8. Fall Campaign • Identify friends, family, and colleagues who might support VMP with gifts of $100-$250 • Utilize letters for mail or email (VMP staff will provide) • Follow-up letters with phone-call or email • Consult with VMP staff on any pledges/commitments • Review existing list of VMP donors and identify those you have relationships with • Total goal-Each Board member to solicit 2.5 peopleequates to $10,000 to be raised or 50 -$200.00 contributions (avg)

  9. End-of-Year Push &Follow-upBy December 31 • This component will be used to follow-up with donors who gave last year and in previous year but not in 2013. We can also do an EOY push via social media. This may be an opportunity to end our anniversary year with some type of “$20 in honor of your mentor” or “$20 for our 20” idea.
