Why should you get your Associate degree? • Fastest growing occupations require AA/AS • AA/AS degree holders earn more money and have lower unemployment • Why not have a capstone of achievement for your time at Cypress College? • Think of your AA as a “pre-major” • Universities give preference to applicants with AA/AS • AA/AS degree holders more likely to finish BA/BS

  3. Why major in Anthropology? You can do just about anything with it • With a Bachelors: K-12 teaching, museum technician, field archaeology, ecotourism guide, Peace Corps, writer, translator, human resources, etc. • With a Masters: college instructor, research assistant, curator, zoo technician, law enforcement, etc. • With Doctorate: university professor, ethnographer, archaeologist, primate specialist, forensic anthropologist, linguist, etc.

  6. The AA in Anthropology requires: • In addition to general college graduation requirements, the AA in Anthropology is a 19 unit major of which the following core courses must be taken: • 101, 101L, 102, 105 and either 106 or 203 • And two electives from 104, 106 or 203, 107, 121*, 210
