  1. HUMAN CONNECTIONS FOREVER BLOGS 5 Reasons why your dog is a substitute for your friends? 12/11/2019 What drives you home after an eight-hour work shift filled with stress and deadlines? What do you wish to see as soon as you open the door and before crashing into bed? Probably warm, welcoming eyes with a happy smile. And I'm sure many of us wouldn't mind a pawsome smile instead of a human face. A ball of fur, wagging his tail, jumping up and down with joy just on seeing you. This is a moment enough to unload all your tiredness and make you forget all your worries for some time. Pets and human relationships have redefined themselves over the years. People now prefer Pets over humans as strong pillars of emotional support for all those times when they feel lonely. 0 Comments Each one of us has specific psychological needs for which we make social connections with friends or a life partner. These needs could be love, affection, loyalty, belongingness, respect, etc. Both the people involved in the relationship must put equal efforts to fulfill each other's emotional needs. We often end up arguing or quarreling with our friends or spouse when the other does not treat us with

  2. love, care, or respect. This becomes the primary reason behind fractured relations. People are shifting towards pets to meet their psychological needs and get rid of the emotional baggage that comes along with these broken relationships. Here are five reasons why pets and human relationships are becoming interchangeable. Expectations Dogs or pets, in general, have minimal expectations as compared to humans. We do not need to plan their birthdays or go out for a movie with them. A pat on their back and some cuddling are all that they need. Whereas human relationships are complicated. They require continuous efforts to show love all the time. Commitment and loyalty Every Human relationship requires a commitment from both people involved. Loyalty is the most significant need in any relationship. But in the case of pets, you become the world for them. Since you are the only person they love to be with, they become your most loyal friend. A good listener Everyone wishes for a friend who listens to them without judging. But in human relationships, often friends do not understand each other and end up hurting feelings. Whereas a dog will listen to you and not judge you for anything, thereby making pets and human relationships as each other's alternatives. Undivided attention As people, we all enjoy attention in every form. As compared to humans, dogs give you devoted attention. They make you feel loved at all times, even when you are at your lowest. Security As a friend, we often expect protection from our companion. We always wish that they defend us in every situation and stand by our side. Dogs naturally have a protective instinct for their owners. This quality makes them more likable as compared to human friends. All of the above characteristics of dogs have made people replace friends in their life with pets. People with dogs now prefer staying at home cuddling, rather than going out with their friends for a coffee or dinner. But this also leads to more significant changes in our social life. Dog owners isolate themselves from the rest of society and get comfortable with their loneliness. Their comfort with their dog keeps them from socializing with their friends. Socializing requires putting in dedicated efforts, but staying home with their furry companions gives them the easy way out. This can also lead to creating social anxiety in the human mind. For balanced mental health, a person requires an equal amount of both pets and human relationships. If you have a pet and feel you are neglecting your friends for it, then you must work towards mending your human connections. POWERED BY
