  1. Lumiere Brothers • The Train Analysis • Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat (The Lumière Brothers, 1895) • The Lumiere Brothers where the ever film inventors they created the cinematograph and created many films such as “The Train” and the “Factory” They also invented editing and cuts in-between films • “The Train” was one of the first films created by the Lumiere Brothers and this is an analysis of that particular film.

  2. Editing • In this movie created by the Lumiere brothers called “The train.” there is no editing involved, this is because it is taken in one shot of a train coming in to the train stop and letting passengers on the train and letting passengers off the train. So because it is all in one shot of this there is no need for editing.

  3. Actual events • The movie is based off of actual events because everyone is in olden clothes as it is in the Victorian times also the train is an old steam train. It is very crowed as many people would use it and there would always be a conductor who blows the whistle to notify that the train is here and he is shown running as soon as the film starts.

  4. No narrative • There is no story in The train and It does not have a beginning, middle or end. The movie just starts out with the train coming in letting passengers in and off of the train.

  5. One continuous shot • The movie of The Train is just taken in one continuous shot as I explained this is why there is no reason for any editing the only thing which happens in this is movie is the train coming in to the train stop letting passengers on and off of the train.
