  2. Teaching Assistant • Mike Slater maslater@unity.ncsu.edu • Will hold hours in Troxler starting in March 11 • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:30- 2:30PM • Available by appointment at other times • See Mike for workspace assignments and test equipment requests • Request access to ORCAD machines

  3. Access to Lab Space • Troxler Design Center (Daniels 346) • Workspace is available if desired • You will be assigned a specific workspace in the Center • Lockers are available for storing project materials • If you need the use of a PC for your project, one will be assigned. • Beginning Monday, January 28, you will be able to request access, workspace, storage, and computers as follows: • Keys and locker assignments: See Sandra Bishop in Daniels 318 • Computer and workspace assignment: E-mail Michael Slater

PCs • 18 PCs available (may mean sharing) UserID: ece480 Password: ece480ECE$*) Log into: ECEW2K • Standard load • Microsoft Office Pro (Word, Powerpoint, Access, Excel) • Visual Studio • Labview, Matlab, Pspice • Visio, Winzip, Acrobat Reader • ORCAD • Currently on separate machines • Trying to move to all Troxler machines this semester • Mike can load project specific software if required

  5. Purchasing Materials • Two Methods of Purchase • University purchase order number: Obtain a “small purchase number” form Dawn Hartley, Dan 232 (receptionist in Dan 232 can help in an emergency). Give the PO number to the vendor when you place the order. • Pay for it yourself and get reimbursed: • Get receipts for your purchases. • Get reimbursement form from Dawn Hartley. • Fill out form and get my signature • Approvals • Any order totaling more than $75.00 or having a single item costing more than $50.00 needs to have my approval before it is placed. • Estimate the total cost of your project and if it exceeds $250.00, I need to review your estimates.

  6. Shipping Information • Materials purchased on a university P.O. number should be shipped to: N C State University Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering 232 Daniels Hall Raleigh, NC 27695 attn: yourself and B. Greene

  7. Billing Information • Materials purchased on a university P.O. number should be billed to: N C State University Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering 232 Daniels Hall Raleigh, NC 27695-7911 attn: Dawn Hartley

  8. Shipping Information • Shipments should have both your name and mine on it. TURN-IN PACKING LISTS OF ITEMS RECEIVED TO DAWN HARTLEY AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE THE SHIPMENT

  9. Reimbursements • You can use your own money or charge account • NCSU has to consider you a vendor and set up an account for you. This can be time consuming (over three weeks certain times of the year) • The only one that can claim a reimbursement is the one whose name is shown on the receipt. • You have to show zero balance or some other method to indicate that the item has been paid for. • Get reimbursement forms from Dawn Hartley or myself • CROSS OFF ACCOUNT NUMBER AND EXPIRATON DATE ON ALL CHARGE RECEIPTS
