外科傷口縫合後患者注意事項. 1. 保持傷口敷料之清潔乾燥，傷口不可碰到水，淋浴時可用塑膠袋覆蓋傷口。 2. 密切注意傷口有無再出血情形或任何異常現象。 3. 受傷後 8~12 小時，組織會繼續腫脹，請抬高受傷部位，減低腫脹程度 。 4. 如傷口在關節處應保持關節平直，以防牽扯縫線而裂開。 5. 勿在傷口處塗抹任何未經醫師許可之藥膏，以免發炎。 6. 按時依處方服藥，切勿任意使用其他藥膏。 7. 當傷口出現感染徵狀，如：發紅、腫脹、疼痛、出現分泌物、發燒等應立即返院檢查。 8. 避免患處劇烈運動，以防傷口再裂開。
