Ethical Concerns • Used to prevent children from being left in a car • Users might become too dependent on it working • Has direct interface to car • Malfunctions could impact drivability of car or cause distractions to the driver • Target environment is inside a car • Extreme heat could cause failures if not designed right

  3. Environmental Impact • PCB – both car-side and child-side • PCBs are recyclable • All components are RoHS compliant • CR2032 3V battery in child-side device • Lithium • Safe for disposal in the municipal waste stream • Perchlorate • Deemed hazardous by California – just needs proper labeling • Case • Standard ABS plastic case which can be recycled
