Benefits of Joining the Space City Houston Chapter
NCMA Space City Houston Chapter The Space City – Houston Chapter of NCMA implements NCMA’s primary mission of fostering the professional growth and educational advancement of its members. In addition to monthly luncheons, and certification study sessions, we provide an educational seminar twice annually. The Space City - Houston chapter was founded in 1966, and is now over 45 years old. The Chapter was chartered by 77 contracting professionals employed by NASA's Johnson Space Center and its major support contractors. It has grown to a membership of over 306 individuals who represent NASA, the major aerospace contractors, and dozens of local aerospace firms. In addition, several members hail from city/state government offices, the engineering and petrochemical industries, and academia. Chapter luncheon meetings typically feature guest speakers from all sorts of disciplines related to contract management. The monthly meetings are normally held on the 4th Thursday of each month.
