  3. What is Flexible New Deal 2? Second phase of DWP flagship welfare to work programme 5 year contracts worth between £6M p.a. and £26M p.a. Mandatory clients, 12 months unemployed Clients remain with FND for 12 months (unless they get a job sooner) ‘Black-box’ solution – 4 week work placement the only activity mandated Some areas have 1 provider some areas have 2
