  4. Salary Range • Median Annual Wages- $46,320 • The Middle 50%- $36,670- $59,580 • Lowest 10%- less than $29,450 • Highest 10%- more than 76,940

  5. Positives and Negatives • Many larger food service operations will provide or offer to pay for technical training • Make your own hours • Long-term commitment on the employee’s part and the employer and to the profession • Can be very stressful
