  1. What are the 5 techniques of regression testing? What is Regression Testing? Regression testing plays a pivotal role when it comes to testing the new changes or updates done to code and making sure that the software application is working just fine, despite the new changes being made in the software product or application. In larger organizations, specialists in code testing perform regression testing. In certain or most of the scenarios, regression testing can also be called as retesting of software, wherein the software is retested to make sure that the new changes that have been introduced in the software won’t affect the existing functionalities. Following are the five techniques of regression testing Selective regression testing The effects of the newly added code are analyzed when it is being introduced to the already existing code in the software application. A part of the current experiments is used so that the cost and retesting efforts involved in selective regression testing are reduced. Progressive regression testing This technique is used when designing new test cases takes place to perform the desired tests and when new changes are introduced to the software’s specifications. Corrective regression testing This technique is used when there are no specific updates or changes being done to the current software application. Already executed test cases are used to perform the testing. Retest-all regression testing In this technique, all the test cases are reused, and also all the possible aspects of the software product or application are tested, even when there is an introduction of a new change in the software. This technique is considered to be tedious and time-consuming and is also considered to be quite expensive, as a lot of resources are required. Complete regression testing When the software is introduced with multiple changes, the complete regression testing is used. When the core or root of the software is affected by software changes, complete regression testing is used. Conclusion If you are looking forward to implementing regression testing for your specific software development project, then do get connected with a professionally renowned software testing services company that will provide you with a viable testing strategy that is in line with your project specific requirements. www.TestingXperts.com To know more about our services please email us at info@testingxperts.com Scan the QR Code USA | CANADA | UK | NETHERLANDS | SOUTH AFRICA | UAE | INDIA | SINGAPORE © 2022 TestingXperts, All Rights Reserved to contact us © www.testingxperts.com
