In each of the 24 main plots • 4 transplants of each of the 3 species (Plantago lanceolata, Prunella vulgaris, Lysimachia vulgaris), 2 in control, intact vegetation, 2 in gap • Various characteristics of size measured at transplanting, in May, and in July for the live individuals, death recorded. • In July, below and aboveground biomass measured for all the life individuals
