  2. Limited incomes • - 1.2 million people aged 60+ are finding it difficult / struggling on their income • - of those 1.2 million, 500,000 are really struggling to cope • - 4.5 million can only just afford to buy the basics

  3. Increasing costs • - 11.4 million people aged 60+ have noticed an increase in the price of every day goods this year • - 10.8 million have less disposable income than last year because of rising living costs • - 5.5 million can no longer afford little treats they had last year

  4. Making ends meet • In the last 12 months: • - 5.9 million people aged 60+ have turned down the heating when not warm enough to save money • - 3.1 million have bought less food than they wanted because of rising food costs
