  5. Ports & Logistics Total Employment Between 2008 and 0011, the sector grew by 9.5% in the Humber, compared to a 1.5% shrinkage in England. In the Sheffield City Region, the sector shrunk by 0.4% but grew by 11% in the Leeds City Region. The sector makes up 5.3% of total employment in the Humber which is a much higher share than in the Leeds and Sheffield city regions in in England. Source – BRES/ONS

A score above 1 suggests some specialisation and any score below 1 indicates no/minimal specialisation. The table above shows strong specialisation in the ports and logistics sector in the Humber compared to the England. It also shows keys strengths in Sheffield City Region.
