  2. Current status • Monsoon has arrived! • Total 45 wells were re-excavated/de-silted; • The crisis has been averted for now; • Working on a long term solution as proposed in the second part of the proposal

Funding status • ASHA Central funded Rs. 2,00,000 Lakh for 25 wells; • Original proposal to AID asked for Rs. 2,25,000 for 25 wells; • AID Central sent: Rs. 1,25,000 • AID Penn State sent: Rs. 50,000 • 20 wells was re-excavated from the original proposal to AID; • Total cost of AID supported wells: Rs. 2,27,200 • Remaining: Rs. 52,200

  5. Funding status • No other AID chapter is considering this part now; • AID LA, and AID Boston is considering the second part (long term) of the proposal; • MLC used up funds from another project to complete the work and now need to replenish their original funds; • We approved up to Rs. 1,00,000 depending on how other chapters contribute; • This leaves MLC Rs. 2,200 short of the actual cost.

  6. Proposition for vote • To amend the funding amount of original proposal from Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 1,02,200 for the SOS part of the proposal; • To send the rest of the money from the approved funding (i.e., Rs. 52,200) immediately to finalize the account of this part of the proposal.
