2. Introduction eScoop is the web site gathering the whole of digital pictures collections available of the publications of Hachette - Lagardere Active group. With 500 000 pictures, it is constantly packed by the new leading productions and the digitalization of old analogic collections.This site makes it possible to consult online these collections, to make orders of pictures, but also to formulate requests near our team so that it carries out a search on our analog collections or our texts. eScoop.fr

3. Access To reach the whole of the functionalities of the site, please enter your username and your password, then click on button “OK”. If you have forgotten your password, you don't need to register again. Just fill in the form below and you will receive quickly an email If you do not have an account, you can make a demand using the register form by clicking on “Register”.

4. Actus This page, which appears directly after your logging or by clicking on the logo eScoop, posts a selection of reports proposed by Scoop. Do not hesitate to consult these selections. Click on the report’s title to visualize all the images of this one. You cannot visualize these texts proposed by Scoop. If you are interested, click on “Contact us” in order to announce it.

5. Our News by publications This page presents the last publications of our images in the various newspapers. By double clicking on a cover or clicking on “Get the pictures”, you will be able to visualize the whole of the images of a publication. You can reach the last reports published on the site by clicking on “BY FEATURES”. You can browse the previous or next publications by clicking on the arrows “Next” or “Previous”. See the description of the contact sheet (hereafter).

6. Our News by features This page presents the last reports made up and published on the site. By double clicking on the image representative of the report or by clicking on “Get the pictures”, you will be able to visualize the whole of the images of a report. You can reach the last publications of our images in the various newspapers by clicking on “BY PUBLICATIONS”. You can browse the previous or next reports by clicking on the arrows “Next” or “Previous”. See the description of the contact sheet (hereafter).

7. Events This page presents overall or by categories (Art of living, Culture, People, Social issues, Sport) the last reports made up and published on the site. By double clicking on the label representative of the report or by clicking on a title of report, you will be able to visualize the whole of the images of a report. 8. Photographers List This page presents the list of the photographers who contribute to our publications. The click on the name of a photographer gives access his biography and a gallery photographs (see screen hereafter).

9. Photographers Biographies This page presents the biography of a photographer. You can: reach a gallery presenting a selection of photographs of the photographer by clicking on “Get the diaporama”. visualize the whole of the photographs of this photographer by clicking on “See all the pictures”.

10. Photographers Gallery You can add the image to your basket in progress while clicking on the button located in top of each image. The click on a label posts the image on the right into large with its title and its caption.

11. Search The part on top of the page constantly makes it possible to carry out a simple research on the titles, captions, copyright, photographer in a collection or in your favourites. Zone of textual research on the title, captions, photographer, copyright. Possibility of posting additional criteria of advanced research (colorimetry, framing, format, date and shot place, publication), as well as keywords. 12. Avanced search You must enter at least three characters. When you make a research, you can use the operators * and ? to seek on incomplete words. The question mark (?) will be replaced by any character. The star (*) will be replaced by any or no character. “tre?” car will bring back tree “aut*” will bring back automobile, automatic, etc • You can also use the Boolean operators “AND”, “OR” and “EXCEPT”. • “John AND Sarah” will bring back all the images containing the words “John” and “Sarah” • “EXCEPT Sean” will bring back all the images not containing the word “Sean”. • “Jacques OR Sarah OR Sean” will bring back all the images containing at least one of the words “John”, “Sarah” or “Sean”. • “John OR (Sarah AND Sean)” will bring back all the images containing the words “John” or “Sarah” and “Sean”. • You can also combine the Boolean operators with the characters joker. • “jo* OR (sar* AND sea?)” • “John AND Robert OR Sara?” • 'jac* AND rob* AND sar* ` • You can use the quotation marks to find images corresponding to usual expressions. “war and peace” will bring back all the images containing the expression “war and peace”. You must enter the dates in format YYYYMMDD. You can enter fuzzy dates by using 0 (example: 20060300 or 20060000). You can also carry out a keyword search by entering here then by clicking on button OK. The system then posts the list of the keywords (for which images exist) which correspond to your choice. You can then: Click directly on a particular keyword to launch research Click on a selection of words and “Search again”

13. Contact sheet You can directly order an image by clicking on the button located on top of each image. You can add an image to your active basket by clicking on the button located on top of each image OR By dragging and dropping it directly into the part “Basket” (in bottom side of the screen) You can reach the card infos of the image by clicking on the button located on top of each image. The button enables you to add to your basket all the selected images (by the check box). The button gives access to you the cards infos of all the selected images (by the check box). The button allows you zoomer on all the selected images (by the check box), this in order to compare it and to make your choice. The button enables you to change color the bottom of the labels. The button enables you to close the board contact images. The button enables you to create a new basket. You have to write the name. Description of the images contact sheet, commune with the pages News, Events and Search Result number by images or reports A click on an image enables you to visualize a mini card infos, on the left side of this contact sheet. A double click on an image enables you to visualize the Low Resolution of this image (as well as others, since it is about a diaporama) Active basket Drag and drop the image apart from the basket to remove it Button allowing you to order all the images of the basket

14. Baskets You can remove an image from a basket by clicking on the button located on top of each image. Any suppression of image in a basket is immediately recorded (irreversible operation). This page presents the baskets that you constituted yourselves. The number of basket is unlimited The life of a basket is infinite, as long as you do not remove it The number of images put in a basket is unlimited List your baskets. Functionalities: To create a basket, click on “Create”, then indicate its name and validate by button “OK” To destroy the active basket, click on “Delete”, then validate your request by button “OK” (irreversible operation) To rename the active basket, click on “Rename” then indicate its new name and validate by button “OK” To empty the contents of the active basket, click on “Empty the basket” then validate by button “OK” To Email the images of the basket, click on “Email”, then validate. Caution: you will receive only watermaked pictures. To obtain the high resolution, you must order. To directly download the images on your station, click on “Download”, then validate by button “OK”. 15. Orders You can remove an image from your order by clicking on the button located on top of each image. You can reach the card infos of the image by clicking on the button located on top of each image. This page presents the order which you are about to pass. You must: To choose the resolution of the images To choose the mode of delivery (by email, on a ftp server or by direct remote loading of the images on your station), To inform information of use and transport Then, to validate by the button “Validate” According to your profile, you will receive the images or your order will be on standby at your local reseller or Scoop. You can reach your history of orders Validate your order by clicking on the button “Validate”. You can remove your order by clicking on the button “Cancel”. Choice of the resolution of images (thumbnail, low or high resolution) If the image is subjected to restrictions of diffusion, you will not be able to obtain the high resolution and you must contact Scoop or your local reseller. The passage of the mouse on this zone posts the list of the restrictions of diffusion on the image.
