Update on Organizational Issues • OSGug has just completed elections for two open TC seats…Marty Burns, and John Simmins are the two new members • EC has just completed elections for three open seats for OSG representation…Aaron Snyder, Gary Stubbing, Klaus Bender are the three new members • Will be seeking nominations for three more EC members.

  3. UCAIug 2011 Plan • 2011 we will focus on member recruitment • Being in contact with existing members • Customer Satisfaction Survey • Revising membership structure • Tightening document access • Increasing meeting costs for non-members • Complete IPR and put in place

UCAIug 2011 Plan, cont.. • Last year we started acquiring equipment required for meeting support…projectors, phones, room sound systems. • For 2011 the goal is to: • Streamline meeting planning process • Minimize charges where possible • Use hotel staff to install and manage UCAIug supplied equipment • Use additional technical support where needed for A/V.

UCA IUG Testing Past, Present, and Future UCA Pilot of NIST IPRM • UCA has volunteered to pilot IPRM • UCA procedures almost meet IPRM • UCA status will be improved • Some changes needed: UCAS and testers • UCA to become Guide 65 Certification Body • UCA must adopt formal quality management sys • UCA will issue (sign off on) certificates • Testers to become 17025 certified/compliant • Tester will not have final say on certificate issue • UCA will review the “tester file” before cert issued

UCA IUG Testing Past, Present, and Future UCA Pilot of NIST IPRM (cont.) • 2011 is transition year for IPRM • User Group need to declare ITCA intent • Lack of progress nullifies that declaration • Changes needed • Create quality manual for UCA testing • Have testers upgrade 9001 -> 17025 • Remove tester authority to issue certificates • Significant per-test UCA work(review all tests) • Testing fees might be considered

Rules of engagement • IOPs are closed except to: • Participants • Witnesses • Each IOP team develops their own use cases, test procedures, and expected results. • Testing will occur in a distributed or centralized fashion and will be closed to team members only (week of March 28th). • Test reports will be generated by each team and made available to UCA User Group members.
