  1. Places of worship A Home Learning Project – RE & ICT

  2. Year 7 filled in a Survey Monkey about the skills and knowledge gained during the project. And this is what they said…

  3. 1. Describe how you worked in your group? I think we worked really well in a group because we all contributed to our places of worship project. In ICT, I learned a lot like Google and all the new techniques. We all communicated within the group through social networking in order to plan our places of worship project. We all worked as a team ,we had a few fall outs at the beginning over silly things and we all were fairly friendly with one and other. Everyone knew their tasks and did them considerably well.

  4. 2. What did you learn from the task? I learnt a lot about the Sikh religion and in the ICT part I learnt about Google docs and maps -and its troubles. I learnt about other religions and how to work successfully as a team! New devices for presentation and a more advanced understanding of Google maps.

  5. 3. Did you enjoy the task? Out of ten (1 = Not at all, 10 = Very Enjoyable): 22 people said 8 or more for this question.

  6. 4. What were the highlights of the task (describe these)? Once we‘d finished filming and everything. It was good to know we were done - we felt proud. Making the product and helping my team mates to get it finished by the due date. Painting my building and doing the presentation for the class.

  7. 5. Did you have enough time to complete the task? Out of ten (1 = Nowhere near enough, 10 = The right amount): The average response was 7.53.

  8. 6. Did you feel over- or under-challenged throughout the task? Why? I thought we had the right amount of work and that it was possible to reach the target. Because I think we worked well and had a good enough standard for our group.

  9. 7. How would you improve your project? Describe this. I would add more detail into my script and do more research on some of the things inside my place of worship. Do a bit more learning about the religions before we start doing any building or making. Use the time that you are given well so don’t just leave it until the last minute.
