Engineering Education at Universities in Modern World • Universities are centers of knowledge and inventions not politics • Future world leaders educated and trained at universities • The students are educated to have wider vision • Are trained for further one or two years after graduation • Respect the law

  10. Engineering during the last 30 years • Huge changes have been introduced • Examples in Elec. Eng. are PC, mobile phone, Internet, etc. • These technologies have brought prosperity the societies • It is regrettable that Afghanistan was at war that was imposed on us • Sadly, we missed the opportunities • Huge task and responsibility for the current generation

  11. Major tasks to be defined by all of us • We must work hard to catch up with the rest of the world. • Individually • Institutions • Overall development in the country
