  2. Part 1 Naked Egg • The egg has lost its shell and its cell membrane is exposed. As you can see, the egg has swelled. The question I want you to answer is: Why has the egg swelled? What is causing it? Use the Internet to investigate and write, in complete sentences, an explanation. This is worth 5 points, have it in by Friday (11/01/2013).

  3. Part 2 • Now that the egg has spent twenty-four hours in the corn syrup, you should be seeing a remarkable change in it. In this part of the naked egg assignment, tell me what you observe (what does the egg look like); what if anything has changed; and tell me why the change, if there is any, has occurred. This is worth 10 points (12 if you type it).
