  2. AMSR-E Status Performance Update EOS Aqua FOT September 24th, 2014

  3. Background • Spun-down on Oct. 4th 2011 due to excessive Torque • Sept. 19th/20th 2012, 6 trial run-up to 4rpm were conducted, though antenna started rotation only reached around 1 rpm. • On Dec. 4th2012, command operation for the low speed(2rpm) rotation restart was carried out. Following fluctuations in rotation rate, the rotation became stable at 2rpm. AMSR-E MOWG - September 2014

  4. Stable Rotation Calibrations • Five gain offsets control and error flag clear have been conducted. • January 30th 2013 23GHz (H polarized wave) • July 18th 20136GHz (V polarized wave) and 23 GHz (H polarized wave) • September 6th 201389GHz (B-side V-polarized wave) • February 7th 20146GHz (V polarized wave) and 23 GHz (H polarized wave) • June 5th 2014 89 GHz (B-side V-polarized wave) AMSR-E MOWG - September 2014
