  2. What is Energy? Energy Makes Things happen

  3. How can energy be stored? *food *fuel *batteries

  4. How do Plants use energy from the sun? Light energy from the sun is captured by plants during photosynthesis. It is converted into food (chemical energy) which is stored in the plant.

  5. What are some of the many forms of energy? heat light electrical chemical movement sound

  6. How do light and sound travel? In waves

  7. What happens to sound if you increase the wave amplitude? It gets louder

  8. What happens to sound if you change the wavelength? The pitch will change

  9. What materials can light travel though Things that are transparent or translucent

  10. What can sound travel though? All materials

  11. What are some devices that can transfer electrical energy into light? Lamp Computer TV Cell phone

  12. What are some devices that can transfer electrical energy into sound? Speakers Cell phone Computer Radio TV doorbell

  13. What are some devices that can transfer electrical energy into motion? Motors Toys Robots Remote control cars fans

  14. Invent a device that transfers energy in three different ways. Describe how the energy is transferred and what each type of energy travels through Performance Task:
