Get into groups – 2 X 3 All meetings from this point on will need to be minutedand agendas set after the first one. First meeting. Investigate scenario – Link on intranet. Start creating a problem definition / Proposal. Allocating roles and responsibilities Further Group work. Meetings to be held that have agendas set and are written up correctly. Finish Project definition.

Research similar scenarios to the one set by WJEC to start getting ideas for solution Design a solution for the model based on the requirements Create an advanced prototype of the model where all members have full understanding on how the model works. Test the model to check that it meets current requirements. Produce an initial plan on how you are going to work in your 15 hours controlled assessment. The better the team work and the more complete the system before controlled assessment – the easier it will be.

Clean are will be provided that contains all the files developed through group work. Although only documents that have been referenced in the minutes will be accepted. Hence the need for accurate minutes. Candidates will be given a “Spanner” or a amendment to the original requirements with a number of additional objectives. Update project definition. Initial plan needs to be amended with Project management software to reflect amendment. Plan must be used to communicate progress throughout the project. Multiple copies of plan must be submitted – Initial, First Amended, Final after project completion and a couple more throughout the duration of the project. Designs need to be amended to reflect changes to requirements. Implement new requirements to the model. Incorporate new requirements into test plan. Undertake a full review of the project. Use eportfolio template to evidence work.

Remember – Progress must be communicated through the project planning software. Full understanding of the model and project in general is required so all group should contribute to its development – otherwise you will be caught out in the Controlled assessments. Only the work done in the controlled assessment is marked.

This document must include: Background of scenario The Stakeholders involved The Client requirements Project Scope Timescales involved Costs involved Roles and responsibilities for team members Project Outcomes and Objectives (measured) Success Criteria Constraints and limitations to the project Research on similar scenarios and their solutions. Proposed solution – application to use – and justification What do each of these points mean?
